Capacities assume a balanced load with weight equally distributed
among the four legs. If you have unequal leg lengths due to
an unbalanced load, the tension (or stress) on each leg will
also be unequal. Under such circumstances, it's possible that
only two legs will carry the load while the others balance it.
In those cases, reduce the rated capacities shown above by 50%.
If three legs support the load while the fourth balances it,
reduce the rated capacities by 25%. |
