Sling Company is one of only ten authorized service
centers for Campbell Chain, the nation's largest
manufacturer of welded and weldless chain. All of
our chain slings are fabricated precisely to Campbell's
manufacturing specifications, come with a written
Certificate of Test and have earned an outstanding
reputation for quality. Each sling is equipped with
a drop-forged identification tag that provides important
information that enables users to operate safely
and effectively. Certificates of Test are supplied
with every new or repaired chain sling to assure
users that a quality control tension test was performed.
These tests are conducted to verify the manufacturing
integrity of the sling components. As part of the
distinctive Campbell service center network, Safety
Sling also offers on-site inspections, economical
sling repairs and even a chain sling school conducted
at the Campbell Chain plant in York, Pennsylvania. |

| Chain
sling inspections are conducted by qualified personnel who
can identify potential problems, encourage proper handling
and storage, assist with inventory control and ensure compliance
with OSHA standards. A written inspection report is provided
following each inspection. Working Load Limit wall charts,
pocket cards, videos and a variety of other aids are available
to supplement your chain program. |
| |
| Our
chain repair program allows slings to be economically refurbished
or repaired whenever possible, proof tested, recertified
and quickly placed back into service. Repairs are often
a cost effective alternative to new sling purchases and
will help manage your company's chain sling investment. |

In
addition to in-plant seminars that educate employees in
the proper care and use of chain slings, Campbell's 1-1/2
day chain school combines classroom theory with hands-on
practice in safety inspection techniques, a plant tour and
a thorough interpretation of government and industry standards.
Upon course completion, attendees will know the requirements
of the law, the effects of improper lifting on chain slings,
how to identify damaged and possibly dangerous slings, and
most importantly, the steps needed to initiate preventive
action. Attendees will also be fully trained to perform
OSHA compliance inspections.
